1 1/2 tsp Yeast
1/2 tsp Brown sugar
1 tsp Salt

4 c Bread flour
2 tsp Baking soda

and 1 1/2 cups water. Let sit for five minutes. Add bread flour.
Knead well. Let rise for about one hour. Grease baking sheet.

and shape into a pretzel. The easiest way to shape is to roll

bring ends of rope to other side of circle. Dip pretzels in
warm water and baking soda mixture and put on baking sheet.

Happy Moments :)

My happy moments are when I spend my time with my three beautiful children Listening to them , talking to each other, rambling and mumbling, joking around, playing together is so heart warming. :) I'm a housewife so I am so grateful that I got the chance to see my children growing before my own eyes. It's a priceless experience that you get once in a lifetime; that is to see your children grow.

I also love to see their smiles when I bake cakes or cookies or even fry mee goreng (their favourite food). They always ask for hugs and kisses, This is truly the happiest moment in my life. :)

Happy - Happy Moments

Siew Mai

My late mom is a Chinese. She always makes Siew Mai for us but I never got the chance to learn from her. I've bought 1 packet of wantan skin last week from Pasar Malam. I googled for Siew Mai recipe but didn't find anything that's suitable with my taste. In the end, I made this recipe myself and it turned great!

Siew Mai

10 pieces of wantan skin
100gm chicken breast, diced
1/2 onion, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of Sesame oil
1/2 tablespoon of Curry powder
Corn flour
Water

Mix chicken, onion, sesame oil, curry powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Get 1 piece of wantan skin and put 1/2 tablespoon of chicken mixture in the middle of the skin. Glue together all four angles of the skin in the center using corn flour mixed with water. Make all 10 skins and steam til cook.

Asam Pedas Ikan (any fish will do)

I've just read a comment from my dear long lost friend (ahakz), Elyda, asking for recipes. Maybe she wants to learn how to cook for her hubby... And this recipe is also dedicated to my dearest girlfriend, Dyan a.k.a Mrs. Munif.

Asam Pedas Ikan

1/2 onion, 4 shallots, 5cm ginger, 4 cili padi; blended together
1 cup of tarmarind juice (air asam jawa)
1 teaspoon shrimp paste (belacan)
2 tablespoon turmeric powder (tepung kunyit)
3 pieces of asam keping (optional)
2-3 cups of water
Sugar and salt to taste
1 whole fish cut into pieces (any fish, i always use ikan tenggiri)

Saute the blended items and shrimp paste til brown and fragrant. Add turmeric paste, water and tarmarind juice and asam keping. Wait until it boils, then season it to taste. Lastly, add the fish and wait until it cooks. Don't over cook the fish. You can even add daun limau purut to make it more fragrant and appetizing.

I'll post a photo when I cook this recipe next time.
Happy trying!

Breastfeeding...

I'm breastfeeding my 10 mths old baby Darwisyah while I'm writing this. I was pregnant with my first baby Dayana when I was 21 yrs old and I don't have any idea about breastfeeding. But when I was 5 mths pregnant with her, I dreamt about breasfeeding a baby. I woke up and search about breastfeeding and decided to breastfeed my baby. I even bought breastfeeding blouses from www.blessedmums.com because it's hard to find any breastfeeding clothes in Miri.

I breastfed Dayana for 1 year and 10 months because she stopped when she saw me nursing her baby brother Danish, 2 hours after giving birth to him. I breastfed Danish for 8 months because my milk supply is not enough for him due to being pregnant with my third baby, Darwisyah. Now I'm still nursing her and will continue until she stops herself.

The most beneficial thing of breastfeeding your baby is you're giving him/her the most expensive insurance plan in his/her life without paying anything except sacrificing your time (day or night), and having to face with body ache each night but it's worth it. I GUARANTEE YOU!!! I don't give any of my children a pacifier or better known as pepet in Malay.

I returned to my pre pregnancy weight almost immediately after giving birth to all of my children, thanks to breastfeeding. And for your information, breast milk can also cure any eye disease. I've tried it with my children and even myself! Don't believe it? Ask any old kampung lady and they'll tell you the same thing.

You can find out more benefits of breastfeeding by googling the internet. I can see that my children are growing beautifully and perfectly and I'm satisfied with myself, thanks to my own milk. Heheheheh.. :)

27 Dresses

I've just watch 27 Dresses last night with my hubby. I love the movie. It's so romantic and the hero is so handsome though I don't like the heroin. Maybe I don't like her because of her character in Grey Anatomies.

If you like this movie, you should watch The Accidental Husband. It's much more romantic and best of all, full of lessons about love. Juno is also a great movie to watch. I didn't leave my seat through out the movie because it's fast pace and simple.

Anybody who have any more romantic movies to recommend?

COSWAY

I've heard about Cosway since a long time ago and I've never tried using their products eventhough my auntie has been a die hard fan of Cosway products. Hehehehe...

But I like the BioGlo range of products because my sister has given me the blackhead remover gel and I LOVE IT!!! And I've finally become a member of Cosway. I've tried the BioGlo BodyLite Shower Gel and still I LOVE IT!!!! For those who are married, YOU SHOULD TRY MANJAKANI PLUS GEL!!! It'll make your Love Making session ROCKS!!!

Hehehehe.. If you feel like you want to be a member or wants to buy it member's price, just e-mail me at mieza_1710@yahoo.com.

The household range of products are so good and so affordable. Besides, you'll coupons and even cash when spending at Cosway and this is so much better than spending your money to buy things at regular hypermarket like Boulevard or other supermarket.

How to instantly reduce the appearance of your stretch mark

I got this trick from Halley Berry. Before she goes to the red carpet, she'll scrubs her body with grinded coffee to instantly reduce the appearance of her stretch marks.

I've been pregnant with 3 babies and you can imagine how my tummy looks like.. Hehehehe.. it's called a forever permanent memoir of being pregnant. I've tried numerous products but not really working. So, I tried the tips by Halley Berry and guess what? My skin becomes smooth instantly and the stretch marks looks like they've been erased! Although the effect IS NOT PERMANENT but still I am very satisfied with the results.

You have to use coarse grind coffee (not the fine one like cap ahmoi or kapal api or pasar ikan miri) like the one u'll get when you buy grind coffee from Starbuck. My brother is the Store Manager of Starbucks at Kuching International Airport so I get loads of coffee from him.

Just try it for yourself!!! Good luck!
